The recording of our latest webinar is now available on members’ area. The session focused on Finland’s Metsään.fi service, a digital platform that provides forest owners across the country with access to detailed forest data, administrative procedures and forestry services.
Organised within the EU-funded Horizon Europe project SMURF – The Forest Owners’ Project. The session was led by Hanna Parviainen, from Suomen Metsäkeskus – the Finnish Forest Centre, the public body behind the platform.
What the webinar covers
The recorded session walks participants through:
- How Metsään.fi provides forest owners with detailed, property-specific data — maps, growing stock, site types and environmental information — to support informed forest management decisions.
- How the platform enables direct interaction with the administration, replacing paper processes with digital forms for forest use notifications and subsidy applications.
- How forest owners and service providers connect through the platform, allowing data sharing, service requests and more efficient planning of forestry operations.
